Hang my head in shame. I didn't go.
Cheltenham evidently the better side and had a late goal ruled off-side. Elvis Hammond scored & man of the match. His ego and ankles must be nursed along for the rest of the season.
Probably best that I was taking in the delights of an Oxfordshire garden rather than in the cattle shed at Edgar Street. Last November's visit nearly did it for me. The Herefordshire countryside was ridiculously beautiful on the way there. The drive home in the dark was as grim as it gets. I contemplated selling my season ticket on EBay - then I saw sense - no one would buy it. The Valentine's Day rematch was far from analogous to a Chicago vendetta - we lost again.
When will I manage to see them again? Not next Saturday either (family holiday) ..... I'll start to pine.
